I am stucked for the past 1 and half year my business is not growing. From a past 1 year we are just 1 to 4 person company. Everything I have to manage frustrated with everything past, I had cofounder it was a terrible experience. Now I am feared to bring cofounder. Please help.

Does any of the above sounds familiar?

Don’t be frustrated.

You might just be a victim of entrepreneurship porn.

Just like regular porn shows things that are not found in the real world relations thus making the views depressed about there real world situations, the stories on internet mostly of super successful start ups and so many start up event filled with thousands of entrepreneurs all supposedly having the next big thing that will change the world, makes real life normal start up frustrated and dissatisfied about their current situations (entrepreneur porn).

In real life starting a business is like having a baby, you will not have free time and you will have to take care of your baby until it learns to do every thing itself. And all of this does actually take time, just like it does for humans.

Not all companies are facebook and google, nor do they need to be.

Now lets answer the real question about needing a co founder.

Test: Did you do any kind of aggressive selling, micro business before the age of 10 (ten)?
(Some examples: Any thing supper selling lemonade cart, selling baseball or WWE cards, plucking flowers from your neighbor and knocking on their door to sell the same flowers to them or some one else, super selling come charity tickets the schools given children to sell. )

If the answer is NO – You need a Business partner.
If the answer is MAYBE – You need a Business partner.
If the answer is YES, I WAS GREAT – then I m not sure why are you asking such a question now? It might just be a rough patch, gather yourself, you’ll be just fine.

I have found that it is easier and more profitable to accept how we are.
For example: I get interested in things and then start excellent projects on this new interest. I start making money and then after having some great time, the general day today operations make me feel bored. And then I magically start getting interested in a new thing.
Think what you may about me, but I know this about my self. And I convert it into my strength by finding strategic patterns and creating systems that keep the business running long after I stopped actively working on it.

If you understand and know that you are a certain type of personality (technical or marketer or manager), be yourself and don’t try to do what you don’t like and don’t know how to do.

Don’t be a superhero, be a superstar of what you do and has a partner who is superstar of what they do. Simple.
