I have done some Facebook advertising but some how I thought revising the concept and see if anything is changed in the Facebook algorithm as they generally do from time to time.
So my first thought went to lynda.com. I just love lynda.com for the experts and for the library type formatting.
The initial strategy I came up with was as follows:
I created multiple campaigns and ad sets with following objectives:
Facebook ad campaign plan
Objective: Directly promoting Hustle Cowork
- Target: Men

Age: 27 – 35
Direct Sales page – Website link ad

Meetup Marketing for event sales

Special Discount Coupon ad – FB Grab offer

For marketing the community building through meetups
- Location: Bangalore
Age: 27 – 35
Men

Direct Sales page – hustlecowork.com event website link ad
Meetup Event signup ad – FB Events ad
Location Offer – FB Grab offer Ad - Location: Bangalore

Complete Bangalore
Direct Sales page – hustlecowork.com event website link ad
Meetup Event signup ad – FB Events ad - Investors – we just want to show some ads to our potential investors to invite some inbound funding.
- Professional acquiescence and friends – for getting referral and advertising a speaking opportunity at Hustle co-work.
But the reality is that we do not have the marketing budget to start ads for all of them.
We want to fill 80 seats at the co-work. Lets say 1% of the people coming to the site will register for a seat. That means we need 8000 people to come on the website sales landing page.
Now all the people who see out Facebook ads will not be visiting our site. We are amusing that only 10% of the people seeing our Facebook ads will actually be clicking on the ad to take some action. which means that we will need to show our ad to 8000×10=80000 people.
Now if we want to spend Rs.50,000 on this campaign we will to the following calculation:
Rs.50,000 for 8000 people to click on the Facebook ad and visit our website offer page.
cost per click = 50000/8000 = Rs.6.25 per click
When I put this bid in Facebook, it gives me a warning that my bid is lower that the lowest bid that is presently placed for a similar type of target market and geographical location. Which essentially means that my ads will be show up at a low in the news feed of the our target market.
If this was not enough, the above calculation is for one ad. That is direct offer page.
I know this is a very preliminary plan and I will have to go in more detail and the plan will only get more complex as I will be incorporating Google ads and then the online community building efforts with all their costs.
Its a bright sunny day in Bangalore and adventure is what I m expecting and awaiting.
