Why is air India doing this? I do not understand  any of its ad strategies. Spending so much on a quarter of a page advertisement and the graphic which takes up the maximum amount of space does not convey any message immediately. The graphic does not even tell that it is an airline ad. 

On the same day in economic times, Korean Air places an ad. 


Not the best ad but at least just by looking at the ad I know it is an airline ad and then I can continue reading if I want to.
