Everything is Energy, Energy is every thing.
I recently attended a brilliant workshop by Blair Singer called “Train the Trainer” at Chennai, India and I m really excited to share with you the skills I learned there, especially the tip to keep your audience form falling asleep.
Blair was all-in for a concept called “context” which he explained as environment you create for teaching and how it effects the accelerated learning of the concepts you are teaching. Here are some of the tip I learned in short and in easy readable points.
1) Change of state. Very simply can be example, make them stand if they are sitting and make them move if they are standing and make them appreciate other participants if the conversation becomes too much of a 1 to 1 style.
2) High fives
3) Hugs
4) Ask them to stand up find a partner and discuss what they just learned in the last session.
5) Signature style of making people dance when they regroup after a break.
6) Stretching physically and literally to move the stiff neck and shoulders
7) Ask question! Simple
8) Modulate your voice with ups and downs to make it interesting.
9) Include activities in your event to make it more interactive.
10) By not using power point presentation. Instead of power point use flip charts. Power point need a projector and may require you to dim the lights of the room making the energy low and virtually asking the audience to sleep.
